EV Adoption Letter Template

Dear <insert property owner's name>,

I <insert your name>, living at <insert your address>, would like to compliment you and the team for their timely and courteous service throughout the <name of the community/business>.It is why I am coming to you with my current situation.

I <am or becoming> the owner of an electric vehicle but am concerned with its charging needs <in your area>. Sustainability is important to me, and I know that you also try to run a green <community/business>. Installing EV charging stations is a step towards a sustainable future, but it also benefits everyone in the present. I am enclosing a few reasons why you should install EV charging stations for the residents of our community.

Electric Cars are Becoming More Common
I am not the only customer or potential customer that is worried about climate change. We are trying to do our part to reduce our carbon footprint. A recent EVC Consumer Attitudes Survey indicated that 54% of drivers are planning to switch to electric vehicles. It means that more of our community will need EV charging infrastructure. In fact, 92% of respondents agreed public charging infrastructure was important in encouraging them to buy an electric vehicle.

People Want to Live in a Community that Reflects Their Values
As I previously mentioned, I was drawn to your <community/business> for its values. It applies to other <customers/visitors> as we transition to electric vehicles. I hope that you will continue your commitment to an environmentally friendly <community/business>. Adding charging stations will keep me and others visiting <the local area> and attract like-minded individuals.

Rebates are Available
You may end up spending nothing to install EV charging stations in our community. Federal (through ARENA), state (NSW Net Zero plan), utility (like Ausgrid + Jolt), and manufacturer rebates (like MG Charge Hub Giveaway https://mgelectric.com.au) can offset the cost. In addition, I pay for the energy usage. You may spend a little out-of-pocket, but you also collect revenue from the charging stations, in addition to attracting EV driving customers. 

<Local area> is underrepresented
Looking at the Plugshare map for <the local area>, there are only Tesla destination chargers at motels/hotels/Airbnbs and <somewhere specific>, in addition to the Tesla Supercharger.  Even the Hunter Valley is better represented, as is the Newcastle area. We need more (non-Tesla) public chargers in order to attract more Sydney weekend visitors to <our local> area.

I hope you will consider the benefits of adding EV charging stations. It is something that benefits you and the community.
